Jessica has participated in barre for years, and was originally drawn to barre because of its health benefits. Barre is meant to work your muscle groups to fatigue in a way that builds strength without excess strain. Being a Barre Above certified instructor, Jessica brings fresh new workouts to her class, and will tailor her classes to her clients’ level of experience. She firmly believes that everyone can benefit from barre, regardless of their fitness level. Jessica can be described as driven, passionate, and energetic. Lindsey Calhoun

After suffering a back injury at the age of 16, Lindsey was recommended to start practicing yoga by a physical therapist. Soon after her first class, Lindsey knew what was missing from her life. Not only did it dramatically increase her mobility, but also decreased the pain associated with the accident and injury. As a wonderful bonus, it also helped her tame the life long struggle with anxiety. Practicing yoga was something that soother her body, mind, and soul. With increased curiosity about the yogic history and lifestyle, Lindsey took a course in college about the philosophy of yoga. It was then that she wanted to become a yoga teacher and dive below the surface of just the physical practice. In the summer of 2018, Lindsey received her 200-hour certification. Her style of teaching includes breathwork, body awareness, Reiki healing, and the idea of practicing yogic philosophy on and off the mat. Lindsey is a yoga teacher hoping to help others find balance and peace within themselves.

Lindsey has been practicing barre for 5 years, and has been a Total Barre certified instructor for 3 years. She has a background in dance, and loves that barre gives everyone the ability to enjoy a dance-inspired workout regardless of their fitness level. Each of her routines are designed to increase strength, stamina, balance, and flexibility — all while set to different types of music making it fun for everyone. She hopes to see you soon at one of her classes, and that you love barre as much as she does!
